It’s once again the day before what I consider to be the highlight of the summer calendar of endless music festivals, Reading & Leeds; which in addition to being three days of beer, bands (and fingers crossed) hot hot sun, is our annual opportunity to take some of our fave DN films and play them in the great outdoors of the Cinema Tent – OK so technically the great ‘covered’ outdoors but no need to split hairs.

Each year that El Vez & I put together the DN shorts selection, we marvel that it’s possibly the best year yet. This year is no different so a massive thanks goes out to all the directors listed below who gave us permission to screen their films, as well as our long term partners OFVM who’ve provided the platform to showcase these great films for the last five years. As always we shall be in attendance at the Reading leg of the festivals so if you’re there at any point give me a shout over Twitter so we can meet up and chat music and film over a beer or two. And be sure to go watch the films (click on the posters above for timings) you won’t be disappointed!
