Inspired by the mesmerising simplicity of the Soundcloud waveform for Benga’s I Will Never Change, UK design/directing duo Us (Christopher Barrett and Luke Taylor) tapped into the physicality pre-mp3 music used to hold and created 960 records to animate the track’s 1 minute and 20 second 3d vinyl waveform over a 30 hour production period. The final result is well worth the effort.
