Inspired by his Summer holidays at the beach, Joseph Mann’s nostalgic, but entirely fictional (and ever so slightly NSFW) short Sandy, casts us back to the innocent, carefree times of childhood.
Talking about the production process on his site Mann says:
“Working with a small team of superb model makers and animators I spent a lot of time refining the detail of each set and individual character. The rubber dingy and the main characters were modelled in clay and cast from silicone. Sandy’s shell nipples came from a beach in Devon whilst the sea was created from a roll of bubble wrap.”
