To bring Cults track Go Outside to haunting life, director Isaiah Seret worked with Fielding M. McGehee III, “an expert on Peoples Temple history and the primary researcher for the Jonestown Archive,” who provided access to over two and half hours of home videos of the Peoples Temple in Jonestown. Using this footage and digital effects, Seret placed members of the band within the Peoples Temple community, often gathered in joyous celebration, which only adds to the tragedy laying ahead of them, but manages to do so in a totally non-exploitive manner.
