Every year when I was a young boy my Mum and Dad used to take me and my brother to an air show at a local aircraft museum. Some of my earliest memories involve standing watching the planes fly by and once even getting lost in the buzzing crowds at the show. Daniel Chester’s quirky animation Mad Dogs and Englishmen perfectly captures the spirit of the event, well all except for the guy in the Nazi uniform!

On a side note, it’s no wonder Mad Dogs and Englishmen is such an accomplished piece given that Chester is a founding member of Moth Collective, which includes Marie-Margaux Tsakiri-Scanatovits and David Prosser, whose short Matter Fisher was crowned winner of Short of the Week’s The Great Film Competition.
