Erin Cosgrove’s short animation based on Ben Marcus’ forthcoming book The Flame Alphabet tells the story of a couple forced to isolate themselves away from their daughter following the outbreak of an epidemic in which the sound of children’s speech has become lethal. It’s an intriguing concept for a book, which is due for release on 17th January.
