UK director Emile Rafael switches the technical challenges of light painting for a far more sensual approach in Pirupa’s Party Non Stop video. The NSFW promo came with a whole new set of tonal considerations for Rafael to navigate:
The label wanted something dark, edgy and controversial. It was definitely not something I had done before and was slightly hesitant about, so the goal was to keep it sexy without falling into the sleazy category. We shot it thinking about and referencing fashion films, looking to match that kind of aesthetic.
