Little did we know when launching the WeAreDN // Offline screening series in February that within a month a global pandemic would render all public gatherings null and void. And while the online nature of DN has enabled us to continue bringing you daily filmmaker interviews much as we did before, we wanted to find new ways to support the work of our favourite filmmakers. And so every Sunday Team DN, in collaboration with Enter Gallery, will be bringing you WeAreDN // Lockdown – a themed collection of five short films taken from the DN archives which will distract, entertain and perhaps speak to the strange times we find ourselves in.

Often oscillating between the most rewarding and frustrating relationships in our lives, family can both be a sanctuary and a challenge. With many of us around the world currently experiencing a concentrated dose of our nearest and dearest relations, we thought it apt to kick things off with a collection of films which have family at their core.
