In a switch from his role as a Hollywood storyboard artist, creating images to be turned into live action, Ryan J Woodward worked with choreographer Kori Wakamatsu to devise and film the movement for the dancers in his animated short Thought of You, part of Conte Animated “a personal project that combines several art forms into one exhibition.” The fluid motion of Woodward’s characters is a delight to behold, as are the characters themselves, so I was glad to see that he also has a 200+ page book documenting his process of approaching figure drawing slated for early Spring.
