Set to the sounds of Granulard Bastard by Berlin band Apprat, Céline Desrumaux’s (one half of Céline & Yann, the duo who brought us the fantastic Giants series) Countdown is an animated triumph of detail and composition which leads to a glorious lift off after two years of dedicated creation.

MarBelle has a strange compulsion to watch as many films as he can get his hands on and find jobs that give him a legitimate excuse to drill filmmakers about their work. Directors Notes is the multi-decade incarnation of this disorder and remains so much cheaper than film school.
