It’s not often you come across a short that’s describing itself as an ‘erotic film noir thriller’ and I must admit, this description made me a little sceptical about watching Tell Tale (would this genre work in the short format?). To its credit, Tell Tale is a fantastic piece of filmmaking and thanks to a standout femme-fatale performance from Carla Gugino (Snake Eyes, Watchmen) and sumptuous cinematography from director Greg Williams and Steve Nelson, it’s a short that should stick in your memory for a long time.
