If there’s a single filmmaking fact we can all agree on it’s that this isn’t a career for the faint of heart. Even with talent and determination it can often be an uphill slog so you can never have too many resources to help you on your way. With this in mind bachelorsdegree.org have collated the 60 Best Blogs for Aspiring Screenwriters. As they say:
The internet, per usual, delivers on this front with a cascade of reading material poking and prodding every nook and cranny of the cinematic arts. While this list is by no means comprehensive ā nor does it dismiss the contributions of other resources out there ā it does provide a hopefully valuable and diverse starting point for anyone hoping to see their stories get told.
Now, don’t let DN’s inclusion in the Filmmaking section (thanks!) put you off, there are a ton of useful links here for you to check out.
Awesome š
good to part of a well educated and respected community of filmmakers
Cool to be on the same list as John August! xoxo
help! please….
I need to get rights to a novel so I can do a screenplay. How do I go about it? (The author is deceased, i checked with copyright and couldn’t find “option agreement” info.) Am a total NEWBIE to all this. Does someone have the time to spell it out for me? THANKS EVER SO MUCH.
Hey Lydia, sorry but that’s not my beat I’m afraid but as it happens Julie Gray who posted just above you is from http://www.justeffing.com/ a screenwriting blog so may well be able to point you in the right direction.
I think the best screenwriting blog on the internet is probably John August and Script Faze.
Cheers for the heads up Damon, we’ll check them out.
