Dirty Projectors: Hi Custodian

I have no idea what the hell David Longstreth is expressing in the 20 minute film Hi Custodian that compliments his band Dirty Projectors’ Swing Lo Magellan album, but I’m willing to be taken on its Runaway/Purple Rain inspired non-sequitur journey across Southern California. Just don’t ask me to make any sense of it?
