Inspired by the multiculturalism and the diversities of our modern cities, Italian filmmaker Maria Pia Fanigliulo hit the London streets of Tottenham for the ‘near documentary’ music promo Elements. Alongside observational footage of people going about their daily lives in the city, Fanigliulo drafted in passers-by willing to be attached to the twitch-inducing, face-beat-machine which animated their facial muscles in time to the beats of Histibe’s track. I’m not sure what conclusion it draws about diversity in the capital, but it did make me wish I could throw shapes with my cheeks.
