A couple years old now but none the less powerful, Rob Sorrenti’s 20 minute short Hollow tells the harrowing tale of heroin addicts Alice and Marcus, and their shared struggle to get and stay clean when life suddenly becomes about more than them. The film features strong performances from Morven Christie and Martin McCann, and ultimately questions if love can indeed overcome all obstacles.
About the Author / MarBelle
MarBelle has a strange compulsion to watch as many films as he can get his hands on and find jobs that give him a legitimate excuse to drill filmmakers about their work. Directors Notes is the multi-decade incarnation of this disorder and remains so much cheaper than film school.
