Inspired by Vertigo graphic novel Luna Park and in particular the drawing style of Croatian comic book artist Danijel Zezelj, Ernex (Ernesto Porto) put together this impressive teaser tribute to the novel – using Photoshop to extract elements and paint in the resulting spaces and After Effects to re-build, animate and add atmosphere through the use of lighting and particle effects. Setting the film to the gut wrenching strains of Johnny Cash’s version of Hurt is the emotional icing on the cake.
