Commissioned by Random Acts, Nanda Fernandez Brédillard set out on a day long journey into the streets of Mexico City to capture an visual and auditory portrait of this bustling metropolis in his short documentary Sonidos Del Distrito.
“The film is a conscious effort to capture both the sights and sounds of Mexico City. I was in Mexico City and Channel 4 asked me to do something with this big city, I proposed making the cartography of Mexico City sounds. It took me about 5 days walking around the city shooting video with my 7D and recording sounds with a Zoom H4n.”
