Shot on a Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera with a score provided by ambient duo Bunai Carus, French director Nicolas Millot takes a look at Japan from a different point of view in We Are Aliens From Outer Space.
“I wanted to show Japan from a different point of view, as if we were aliens landing into unknown territory, and explore the processes our mind go through during this journey. The challenge here was to represent the feeling of being lost in a new country, before we eventually settle.”
Nicolas took an equally mesmeric approach to the Normandie coast in his previous short Summer Holiday.
