Striving to recreate the magic from what he describes as the “golden ages of music videos”, where all great promos were “easily recognised from just a single frame”, Joshua Viir’s music video (and final proect for his degree at Chelsea College of Art & Design) for Gem Club track I Heard the Party channels the spirits of this prolific era with glorious slow motion cinematography and well-considered lighting.
