A track taken from Kathryn Joseph’s new album From When I Wake The Want Is, one-shot short film 1111 by London based Director Rob Chiu (last seen on DN here), masterfully charts an unexplained flood of primal emotions over its enigmatic 5 minute running time. As to the film’s meaning, Rob says:
“The film is inspired by the 5 stages of grief – Denial / Anger / Bargaining / Depression / Acceptance. It can also be seen as a metaphor for the state of the world right now but is pretty much open to interpretation.”
And I for one think it’s all the better for having no definitive explanation.
